Convention
New Years 2017
Members Ben Webster, Clay Stocker, Barn Necaise, Madison Holbrook, Alex Boyd, Ashley Casteel, and Felipe Olvera were all able to attend our National Convention is Austin Texas this year. With hundreds of students in attendance, our members were able to interact with over 100 schools from across the country and several international chapters. They were able to hear keynote presentations from the AIA, NCARB, and NAAB presidents.
Grassroots Convention July 2017
This year our Vice President, Baron Necaise, and our FBD Director, Ashley Casteel, were able to attend the Grassroots Convention in Washington, D.C. Ashely attended all the FBD workshops to prepare for her upcoming position as director and Baron attend all the leadership workshops as our VP. Not only did they get to interact will fellow architecture students across the US, they also had the opportunity to meet the oldest living Holocaust survivor.
Grassroots Convention July 2016
Grassroots is a leadership convention for AIAS members and non-members that is hosted every summer in Washington, D.C. Our members that attended were able to gain knowledge is leadership, design, education, and Freedom By Design through workshops that were held by National AIAS. We also got to attend a firm visit with the other chapters in the South Quad.
